Can I intermix TIGI copyright©olour creative with TIGI copyright©olour gloss?

Yes, there are no intermixing rules. Just remember, gloss delivers more translucent results, therefore the more you add to TIGI copyright©olour creative the less opacity to the formula.

Can I intermix TIGI copyright©olour creative with TIGI copyright©olour lift?

Yes, there are no intermixing rules. Just remember, lift has a bit more “lift” so if you need a boost to your formula add no more than ¼ tube to 1 tube of copyright©olour creative.

If I add TIGI copyright©olour mix master into the formula do I have to add more TIGI copyright©olour activator?

When adding TIGI copyright©olour mix master into a formula additional activator is not required as long no more than 1-12g is used per full tube of colour. If this amount is exceeded, additional activator will be required.

Can the mixing ratio be adjusted from a ratio of 1:1.5?

As a minimum you must mix in a ratio of 1:1.5. The results will be slightly diluted if you mix in a higher ratio. The product viscosity will remain unchanged, a cream emulsion consistency.

Can the processing time be adjusted? If yes, what would happen?

Yes, processing time can be adjusted based on your colouring needs. For example for colour refreshing, processing time can range from 5 – 15 minutes. Just remember, that the first 10 – 15 minutes processing time of freshly mixed colour is generally related to lifting with slight depositing. To achieve the full effect of the colour it is advised to leave it on for 35 minutes.

Can I use heat to speed up the processing time?

No. Heat is not recommended or required to process TIGI copyright©olour.

Can I use TIGI copyright©olour when the client has previously had a relaxer on their hair?

Always check the porosity of the hair before proceeding with a colour service. It is advised to avoid any lightening services when the hair has undergone a relaxer service. The best product to use for relaxed hair is TIGI copyright©olour gloss.

Can I use TIGI copyright©olour when the client has had a Brazilian straightening service?

Yes, but again always check the porosity of the hair before proceeding with a colour service. Please note if a Brazilian straightening treatment was used within 30 days of the client requesting a colour service, colour lift/coverage may be negatively impacted. It is advised to conduct a colour service before a Brazilian treatment or 45 days after a Brazilian treatment.

Can I intermix TIGI copyright©olour gloss with TIGI copyright©olour creative?

Yes it is possible to intermix there two products, however intermixing them will change the results. TIGI copyright©olour gloss will now lift natural hair and the coverage will move from translucent colour to more opaque. For a ½ level of lift, 20% more coverage and of course high shine use no more than ¼ tube of TIGI copyright©olour creative to a full tube of TIGI copyright©olour gloss.

Can I intermix TIGI copyright©olour gloss with TIGI copyright©olour lift?

Yes it is possible to intermix there two products, however intermixing them will change the results. TIGI copyright©olour gloss will give a full level lift with the benefit of high shine. Coverage will not change.

Is there a limit to the amount of TIGI copyright©olour mix master that I can add into the TIGI copyright©olour gloss formulation? Since Mix Master is a permanent how will it change the formulation?

There is no limit to volume of TIGI copyright©olour mix master that can be added to the formulation. However since TIGI copyright©olour mix master is a permanent product, the more you add the more permanency you create for the colour.

If I add TIGI copyright©olour mix master into the formula do I have to add more activator?

Yes, the mixing ratio should always be 1 part colour to 1.5 parts activator. This mixing ratio ensures the full potential of the colour is realized.

If TIGI copyright©olour lift is intermixed with TIGI copyright©olour creative, gloss or mix master will it negatively impact the amount of lift achieved?

Yes, if you mix more than ¼ tube of TIGI copyright©olour creative/gloss/mix master to 1 tube TIGI copyright©olour lift you can negatively impact the lifting ability of the product. Assumptions for lifting ability when intermixing different formulas can be based upon the following:

¼ tube creative/gloss/mix master to ¾ tube Lift: Up to 4 levels of lift
½ tube creative/gloss/mix master to ½ tube Lift: Up to 2 – 3 levels of lift
¾ tube creative/gloss/mix master to ¼ tube Lift: Up to 2 levels of lift

Can TIGI copyright©olour lift, lift colour from the hair?

Yes. Depending on the history of the hair, number of colour applications, shade, product type TIGI copyright©olour lift can generally lift 2 levels of “old” colour from the hair.

Can I use heat to speed up the processing time?

No. Heat is not recommended or required to process TIGI copyright©olour.

Does TIGI copyright©olour mix master contain direct dyes?

Yes, some shades of TIGI copyright©olour mix master contain both direct (non-oxidative dyes) and indirect dyes (oxidative dyes). You can tell if a shade contains direct dyes if you can visually see a “colour” when dispensed from the tube. Generally direct dyes will slowly wash away after 10 shampoos, losing some of the intensity. The tone of the TIGI copyright©olour mix master will remain.

Can I use with heat to improve colour wearability?

No. Heat is not recommended or required to process TIGI copyright©olour.

TIGI copyright©olour true light/true light white

Can I intermix TIGI copyright©olour true light and true light white with colour?

No, the TIGI copyright©olour true light white does not work well with oxidative colour. It is advised to use a lightener first and then performing a colouring service; remembering to always check the health of the hair before proceeding with any colour service.

Can I mix with water?

Yes, for cleansing/cleaning previously coloured hair you can intermix with water. However if you are conducting a full lightening service it is always best to use TIGI copyright©olour activator. Remember do not use more than 20vol/6% for on-scalp applications.

Can I use heat to speed up the lightening process?

No, never use heat with any lightening service. For perfect lightening it is advised to develop slowly for the best results and to protect the integrity of the hair.
